Sven still counting his strikers....
England's boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is now thinking to reconsider his decision about how many strikers he would be taking along with him on the flight to Germany. He had previously planned on taking four, namely Rooney, Owen, Bent and Defoe, but after Crouch's performance last night, he has now plans of adding Peter Crouch in his striker-list. Crouch proved himself last night in England's game against Uruguay in wich they defeated Uruguay 2-1. After starting in the bench, he came on to give his best performance, enough to impress his manager. "I have still not totally decided but that is definetly a possibility," said Eriksson, "I might still pick five strikers."

Beckham's description for new manager
England's captain David Beckham recently underlined the qualities he thinks are essential for the new manager who will be taking place of Sven-Goran Eriksson's after the Wrold Cup. He boldly said that there are many good managers out there in Europe and the one who shall be selected should have the hunger, ruthlessness, and good knowledge on how to keep a good communication and understanding between himself, the coaches and the players. He also mentioned that the decision of selection should be done by FA. It is a hard decision as they are choosing a manager for one of the top footballing nations of the world in which are present many of the finest players, so it is a very hard choice and the FA should take its time. In the end he stated that FA should pick the right man and the decision making should not come down to the players as its not thier job to choose a manager for thier country.
