Australia's footabll team is not as famous and as good as it's other sports teams like Cricket and Hockey. Captained by Viduka and the only known player is Hary Kewel of Liverpool. Japan took the lead in the first half when thier striker, besides heading the ball, pushed the Ausi keeper so that he may not stop the incomming cross of the midfielder. The foul was not seen neither by the refree nor by the linesman. The scored remained 1-0 till the final whistle blew.

Day 3 results
The first match on the 11th of June was played between Serbia & Montenegro and Netherlands. Netherlands had a pretty strong team for this World Cup as they had thier old Ruud Van Nistlerooy, Chelsea's amazing striker Arjen Robben, Arsenel's Robben Van Persie and one of the best goalkeepers of all today who also captained this team, Edwin Van Der Sar. With such a strong team, thier victory was obvious over a reletively weaker team and they won the match 1-0.
Next up were Iran and Mexico. Not much is said about these teams but just that they did not made thier debut this time and have been playing for a long time in previous World Cups. A challenging match was played between both teams but it was Mexico who were victorious with a score 2-1.
The last match of the day was that of Angola and Portugal. Angola were the debutants this time but despite that they gave Portugal a very tough fight. Suprisingly, they had a lot of fans present who were supporting them in Germany so they didn't feel any pressure. Portugal had managed to take the lead in the opening part of the game and struggled to maintain that score as Angola were not week on the attack. The famous Christiano Ronaldo had plenty of chances but could not avail anyone of them.Final score, 1-0 to Portugal.
Day 2 results
On the 10th of June, the second day of the World Cup Finals, England faced Paraguay in thier first match. An early own-goal, which was actually a deflection off David Beckham's long range free-kick, gave England the lead. There were various attempts by other players as well specially midfielder Frank Lampard, but neither team could score another goal till the end of the game.
In the second game of that day, Trinidad & Tobago played against Sweden. The expectations favoured Sweden, but Trinidad & Tobago, who made thier debut in this World Cup, showed a tough challenge and the game ended as a draw. Each side scored one goal each.
The last match was played amongst Argentina and Ivory coast. Ivory coast, who also made thier debut were dependant on thier key striker Didier Drogba, the famous striker from the English club Chelsea. Argentina were more experienced and the one goal scored by Drogba could not stop the Argentinians from taking a 2-1 victory.
