Arsenal gave a poor show at home after facing a 2-0 defeat from the champions Cheslsea. Many predictions came of a draw, but Arjen Robben in the first and Joe Cole in the second half proved them wrong but scoring two superb goals for thier team and bringing them now 9 points ahead of Manchester United who desperately chase for the top spot. Thiery Henry got a chance in the first half but couldn't do any more than hitting a post. Van Persie got through only to find Henry standing offside. Fine saves came from Peter Cech who defended the goal very well indeed.
