Opening ceremony cancelled

FIFA has made a decision to not to hold the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup that was to be held in Berlin. They say that this would spoil the pitch as the first match to be played over there will be on 13th June while the ceremony will take place on the 7th of June. The ceremony will not be as big as big as those of the Olympics, but it will be big enough to allow 15,000 volunteers. The dates of the ceremony and the first match have already been moved one date behind.
