Day 2 results

On the 10th of June, the second day of the World Cup Finals, England faced Paraguay in thier first match. An early own-goal, which was actually a deflection off David Beckham's long range free-kick, gave England the lead. There were various attempts by other players as well specially midfielder Frank Lampard, but neither team could score another goal till the end of the game.
In the second game of that day, Trinidad & Tobago played against Sweden. The expectations favoured Sweden, but Trinidad & Tobago, who made thier debut in this World Cup, showed a tough challenge and the game ended as a draw. Each side scored one goal each.
The last match was played amongst Argentina and Ivory coast. Ivory coast, who also made thier debut were dependant on thier key striker Didier Drogba, the famous striker from the English club Chelsea. Argentina were more experienced and the one goal scored by Drogba could not stop the Argentinians from taking a 2-1 victory.
