In the International friendly played between England and Jamaica, the English had no problems winning the match after claiming 6 goals to thier side. Frank Lampard had a better game this time, as compared to that against Hungary, and got in the attack early on in the game to bring England in the lead. He had missed a penalty against Hungary and had a lot to catch up. Steven Gerrard had a quiter game in the game and failed to cover those areas where he had to guard from the Jamaican attackers. Peter Crouch had a wonderful game as he scored a hat-trick for himself, although one goal should have been regarded as an own-goal. Michael Owen performed more as an assistant forward as he only scored one goal, and made Lampard's and Crouch's goal possible. Captain David Beckham was amongst his best forms, provided accurate and deadly passes and crosses. No goals were conceaded by England even though the defense did not show its best form. England need a lot to work on thier penalty shoot-outs as Lampard missed one against Hungary and Crouch missed one against Jamaica. Currently, Eriksson's has selected Lampard, Beckham, Owen and Gerrard as his leading penalty takers. Jamaica was a comparatively easy opponent, but the World Cup will be much more competetive.
